Restore

Restoring Healthcare

Restore is the development department of ReNUH and encompasses our on-the-ground efforts in Northern Uganda. Restore is responsible for enabling change by assisting in the procurement of essential yet basic medical equipment and in the rehabilitation of health facilities. Restore makes it possible for health workers to help themselves and for communities to come together and sustainably support their health facilities.

Currently, we are directing our efforts to accomplishing our projects for 2007 – 2008. The projects are as listed below.

1) To rehabilitate the Radiology Ward at Gulu Regional Referral Hospital and assist in the procurement of an x-ray machine and an ultrasound machine.

2) To rehabilitate a health centre that will directly affect the lives of people returning from Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps.

3) To establish a sustainable source of electricity at Gulu Regional Referral Hospital by assisting in the procurement of a back-up generator and in the process of rewiring the wards.

4) To procure 300 insecticide-treated mosquito nets (ITNs) for the beds at Gulu Regional Referral Hospital.

Complete profiles of these projects will be available very shortly.
