Approximately one in every twenty-six
patients admitted to Gulu Regional Referral Hospital will not leave alive.Restoring Northern Uganda’s Healthcare (ReNUH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing technology and restoring quality healthcare in the developing world. Since 2006, ReNUH has been working with the people of Northern Uganda in order to develop sustainable and efficient solutions that enable health facilities to adequately treat their patients.
ReNUH is comprised of two departments titled Restore and Rejoice. Each department plays an essential role in the success and effectiveness of ReNUH.
Restore: Restoring Healthcare
The health facilities of Northern Uganda
are understaffed, underfunded, undersupplied, and overpopulated.Restore embodies the development side of our efforts to act as catalyst to improving lives by restoring healthcare in Northern Uganda. As a catalyst, it is not the goal of ReNUH to implement change. Rather, ReNUH is dedicated to enabling change by assisting in the procurement of essential yet basic medical equipment and in the rehabilitation of health facilities. By enabling change instead of directing it, we are making it possible for health workers to help themselves and for communities to come together and support their health facilities.

Madero Middle School has raised over $1,000 for the people of Northern
Uganda.Rejoice bridges our efforts from Northern Uganda to the United States. Dedicated to bringing communities together, it is the goal of Rejoice to raise awareness and support by allowing people to discover the devastating reality of healthcare in Northern Uganda. From students to health workers to entire communities, like-minded individuals are coming together to improve lives by restoring healthcare in Northern Uganda.
